Allister Green, you are November's manager of the month. How does it feel?

Well done Al. Your haul of 174 points took you to the top above Lau and Jamie. Not the names that you expect at the top but one name that is becoming a regular fixture at the bottom is Ando. The so called youngster from Horley is looking favourite for the wooden spoon. Meanwhile Maguire's starting to pull away at the top leaving a tense fight for 2nd with the saucepans and the rompers.

No photo of October's manager of the month available so he's a video of his brother Zammo instead.

Well done Neil Maguire, you are Oct Manager of the month. Macca's team's haul of 264 points also took them to the top of the table. Neil has put together a pretty strong squad with Fabregas, Drogba, Lampard and Rooney forming a solid spine. This is also reflected by his team's value shooting up to 103.3 million pounds.

There has also been some wildcard action going on by Lun and Stu. A sign of desperation?

There'll be tension in the Woodger household as stinky bottom place goes to Stu and Will's Liverhampton. Could it be a case of the Houllier and Evans?

Roundy at the top while Ando takes bottom.

Congratulations to Manager of the month, Roundy after storming the September charts by 15 points ahead of birthday boy Den. Shrewd dealings swapping Defoe for Van Persie and Hangeland for Dunne paying big dividends.

Amazingly, Den's managed to climb the table without making any transfers at all. His nucleus of Man Utd and Chelsea players netting him big points.

As for title contender Stu, he must be disappointed with this months performance finishing below Matt. Meanwhile, Saucepan and Macca's team are going strong scoring consistently thanks to the form of Fabregas.

And finally, propping up the table is Ando. It's his turn to flex his sphincter muscle pushing his side down to the bottom of the Meadvale league. He will no doubt have his excuses but will his competitive streak get him out of this hole?

August manager of the month

Matt's bottom again!

Before we go on to the league, lets welcome the rest of the managers. Some old, some new and some old and stoopid. Firstly the old, Lundon FC, Jase's Aces, Bob FC and Cowfold Casuals with Jase's aces coming closet to upsetting the old guard with a strong finish to last season.

The new comes in the form of Lau's 11, Woodgie's Liverhampton and the Allister's Big Dippers. Can any of the new boys be the Ipswich of a few years ago when they surprised everyone by finishing high up in the league?

And finally, the old and stoopid. Matt and Den joining the league a week behind the rest. They'll have their excuses but come the end of the season, we will no doubt hear 'If I started on the same week, I would have beaten you, blah blah blah!'

So congratulations yet again to Stu for being August manager of the month. You get the Miss Smythe thumbnail clap award. There is a familiar look to the table at the moment with Stu and Yu up top and Den and Matt at the bottom. On analysis, Stu's choice of Sorenson, Johnson, Bosingwa, Lampard and Torres are pulling in the big points.

With the World Cup qualifers out of the way we can go back to the business of the Meadvale league. And as a special treat, we have a little historical video of what makes Meadvale what it is today.

Season 2009/10

The new season is about to get under way and as you can see, we have a new blog site where we can discuss and generally take the piss out of people who are shite.

Before moving onto the 09/10 season, let's congratulate Stuart Harding on winning last season's league. It was a closely fought affair with Stu overhauling Yu right at the death by 34 points after Yu had lead for so long.

So moving on, what thrills and spills will the new season bring? Will it be another 2 horse race again with Stu and Yu or can Ando, Scottie, Roundy and Lun make a challenge? Or could there be a surprise package to challenging the big boys.

MANAGERS IN SO FAR:

Yu Kung's Saucepan*** -
Will be looking to get over the disappointment of coming runner up to Stu yet again. Losing by 34 points this year and a ridiculous 1 point the year before. He will be one of the favourites again, just has to keep focused especially at the tail end of the season.

Stuart Harding's White Line's FC -
Champion for the last 2 seasons, Stu will be trying to make it a hat trick but like his height, he'll probably come up short as fired up arch rival Yu is unlikely to let it slip away this season.

Anthony Cousin's Roundy's Rompers -
Will be looking to get over a bad season. An experienced campaigner, Roundy's ability to romp ended limply when he found himself unable to take a rampant Ando from behind. As for this season, there will be a lot of fire in Roundy's ample belly. He wants to prove that he belongs amongst the elite.

Scott Eddington's Tinkerslucky 11 -
It was a bit of a yo-yo season for Scottie, bouncing up and down around mid table. He's started pre-season early this year with some serious scouting and we're not talking the Baden Powell kind that you normally associate with Scottie. Will this extra homework bear fruit, we have to wait and see.

Sophia Luvara's AC Sophia -
We welcome newcomer Sophia to the league. She says that she'll be bringing a bit of Serie A sophistication to the league. Which probably means picking 11 defenders. It will be interesting to see how well this debutant does but her presence will add extra pressure on the other managers as they will not want to get beaten by a girl.

Neil Maguire's Macca's Team -
Joined Meadvale mid season, Neil, the mystery man of the league, thought he would do quite well according Roundy but found it tougher than expected. Lets see how he copes from the start.
